Currently seeking individuals with Asphalt Paving Foreman experience to fill positions in Salt Lake City, Utah. The ideal paving candidates should have 3 years of paving experience and working knowledge of all asphalt paving procedures and paving equipment.<o:p></o:p>

Responsibilities of the Asphalt Paving Foreman<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
● Communicate with the Manager, Superintendent, inspectors and/or engineers about the paving project.<o:p></o:p>
● Distribute and discuss the schedule and the equipment needed for the day with the paving crew.<o:p></o:p>
● Confirm loading times, types of material and tonnage totals.<o:p></o:p>
● Review work order to confirm job specifications.<o:p></o:p>
● Discuss the procedures with the crew prior to starting and throughout the project.<o:p></o:p>
● Ensure quality workmanship with rake, roller and paver.<o:p></o:p>
● Monitor and document crew members’ time and complete Daily Job report.<o:p></o:p>

Requirements of the Asphalt Paving Foreman<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
● High school diploma or general education degree (GED)<o:p></o:p>
● Minimum 3 years of paving experience<o:p></o:p>
● Current Class C driver’s license with good driving record<o:p></o:p>
● Physically able to lift 50 pounds or more, work long hours and weekends if needed outdoors in a variety of weather conditions<o:p></o:p>
● Working knowledge of all asphalt paving procedures and paving equipment<o:p></o:p>
● Ability to pave according to DOT and commercial specifications<o:p></o:p>
● Experience in reading and understanding site and civil plans (grades and measurements)<o:p></o:p>
● Excellent communication and listening skills<o:p></o:p>
● Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screen and criminal background check<o:p></o:p>
