Currently seeking individuals with experience operating asphalt paving equipment to fill the positions of Paver Operator and Screed Operator in Salt Lake City, Utah. The ideal paving candidates should have 2 years of road construction experience and current driver’s license that meets state requirements.<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
Responsibilities of the Asphalt Paving Operators<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
● Perform daily inspection and maintenance and ensure that paver is in safe, proper working order including fluid checks and proper lubrication. <o:p></o:p>
● Safely operate paver to achieve the specified paving width, depth and grade.<o:p></o:p>
● Perform maintenance and smaller repairs as needed. <o:p></o:p>
● Report to shop when equipment needs additional maintenance and repair. <o:p></o:p>
● Keep equipment clean and prepare equipment for transport on flatbed when needed.<o:p></o:p>
● Maintain order, cleanliness and safety at jobsite.<o:p></o:p>
● Comply with all OSHA and/or MSHA regulations.<o:p></o:p>
● Follow Supervisor’s instructions closely. <o:p></o:p>

Requirements of the Asphalt Paving Operators<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
● High school diploma or general education degree (GED)<o:p></o:p>
● Minimum 2 years of road construction experience, preferred<o:p></o:p>
● Current driver’s license that meets state requirements<o:p></o:p>
● Physically able to walk, bend, kneel, lift various objects weighing up to 50 pounds, stretch, sit and work extended hours outdoors in a variety of weather conditions<o:p></o:p>
● Willing and able to travel and work some Saturdays as needed<o:p></o:p>
