Coordinator of Digital Media, Marketing & Student Recruitment
The Coordinator of Digital Media, Marketing and Student Recruitment will plan, coordinate and carry out program promotion, outreach and student recruitment strategies for all program components. This position will serve as the digital and social media expert, keeping current on all digital trends and technologies, and administer Veterans Upward Bound’s social media marketing and advertising efforts. The Coordinator is responsible for defining, developing, implementing, and assessing marketing strategies. The Coordinator will act as the primary planner of outreach and student recruitment efforts at all program sites and serve as the primary source of program information, student follow-up, and initial steps of program enrollment. This position will help identify veteran and community resources, coordinate media and outreach materials, and actively network with agencies that provide services to veterans across Montana.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Create and execute social media strategy and social media campaigns using current marketing techniques to increase program visibility, engagement, and traffic across social platforms to reach communities, service providers and veterans.
• Assume responsibility for content management including the creation and publishing of relevant, original and high quality content to promote program services or events.
• Contribute to design of outreach materials.
• Research and establish relationships with online and community partners and organizations to increase digital recognition and content reach.
• Manage social media calendar, creating compelling and relevant content to engage the digital audience.
• Provide input for budget line items related to digital media planning and marketing/outreach/recruitment efforts.
• Track, measure and report on key performance indicators, make recommendations and identify opportunities for improvement for all marketing efforts.
• Provide follow-up, intake, and enrollment services for prospective participants.
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, public relations or relevant field.
• Strong skills using MS Office Suite (Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint)
• Experience or education in using targeted advertising and new media for marketing.
• Understanding of target audience, search behavior and social platform engagement.
• Demonstrated relationship building skills and excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
• Experience using a database.
Preferred:
• Veteran or experience working with veterans.
• Experience in managing digital marketing campaigns and projects.
• Knowledge of Adobe Suite products.
• Experience working in post-secondary education in any capacity.
