Technical Manager – Transmission Line Engineering We have an opportunity for a talented & ambitious Sr. Engineer with Overhead (OH) Transmission Line experience to join us as our new Technical Manager - Transmission Line Engineering based in the Pacific Northwest (PNW) region. Preferably in Oregon or Washington. You will play a pivotal role in establishing relationships that go beyond the realm of the project at hand. You will work on challenging assignments that include investigating, troubleshooting, and solving a wide variety of transmission line and related civil engineering problems involving overhead power lines and substations.
Responsibilities Other responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Act as the responsible engineer and client point of contact for power delivery projects.
Increase the volume of overhead line work with existing clients.
Assist in marketing and promotion efforts to add new regional clients.
Prepare, review, and P.E. seal technical calculation reports and construction documents meeting client and company requirements.
Develop your career via peer-learning through sharing of knowledge with other experienced engineers and train and mentor junior staff.
Travel to client sites as needed.
Mentor junior staff.
Qualifications We are seeking the following experience:
B.S. in Civil or Structural Engineering or related engineering degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program is required.
M.S. in Civil or Structural Engineering is preferred.
10+ of progressive experience in the civil-structural engineering field is desired.
Overhead (OH) Transmission Line design experience with PLS-CADD is preferred.
Other structural design experience (i.e. Bridges, Buildings) encouraged to apply.
Professional Engineering (P.E.) registration in the states of OR and WA, or AZ is desired, or the ability to obtain certification within 6 months of start date.
