Technical Manager – Transmission Line Engineering
 
We have an opportunity for a talented & ambitious Sr. Engineer with Overhead (OH) Transmission Line experience to join us as our new Technical Manager - Transmission Line Engineering based in the Pacific Northwest (PNW) region. Preferably in Oregon or Washington. You will play a pivotal role in establishing relationships that go beyond the realm of the project at hand. 
 
You will work on challenging assignments that include investigating, troubleshooting, and solving a wide variety of transmission line and related civil engineering problems involving overhead power lines and substations. 

Responsibilities
 
Other responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: 
 
  • Act as the responsible engineer and client point of contact for power delivery projects. 
  • Increase the volume of overhead line work with existing clients. 
  • Assist in marketing and promotion efforts to add new regional clients. 
  • Prepare, review, and P.E. seal technical calculation reports and construction documents meeting client and company requirements. 
  • Develop your career via peer-learning through sharing of knowledge with other experienced engineers and train and mentor junior staff. 
  • Travel to client sites as needed. 
  • Mentor junior staff. 

Qualifications
We are seeking the following experience: 
 
  • B.S. in Civil or Structural Engineering or related engineering degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program is required. 
  • M.S. in Civil or Structural Engineering is preferred. 
  • 10+ of progressive experience in the civil-structural engineering field is desired. 
  • Overhead (OH) Transmission Line design experience with PLS-CADD is preferred. 
  • Other structural design experience (i.e. Bridges, Buildings) encouraged to apply. 
  • Professional Engineering (P.E.) registration in the states of OR and WA, or AZ is desired, or the ability to obtain certification within 6 months of start date.
